Help Clarissa Sanders Beat Breast Cancer!

Clarissa Sanders, RN, a beloved nurse in her community, was recently diagnosed with grade 3 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). This is the most aggressive form of breast cancer as it does not respond to targeted hormone therapy and spreads very quickly. Clarissa's doctors believe this is treatable as long as treatment starts right away. Her treatment will include 4 months of chemo and immunologic therapy every week, followed by radiation and multiple breast surgeries. During this time, she will also undergo genetic counseling, imaging tests, and lab work.
We are seeking support for this family as this journey is already becoming very financially, emotionally, and physically challenging. Clarissa is the mother of two amazing children--Gabrielle, 7, and Elijah, 1--and wife to her devoted husband, James, who is currently a full-time student, self-employed artist, and stay-at-home dad. Clarissa spreads love, joy, and compassion as a float pool nurse in local hospitals and her church but, realistically, in the coming months, she will not be able to do what she is called to do in her career, community, and especially, her family by providing for them.
