Hello everyone. My name is Clarissa and I am extremely embarrassed and emotional about making this post. I'm a type 1 diabetic and a couple of weeks ago I developed Covid. My husband and I were unable to work I fell extremely ill as a result of Covid. I went to the hospital on August 26th because my thigh swelled up extremely bad with infection. I also have a skin disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. We thought that was the cause of the swelling of the thigh. We were informed that I had developed Sepsis from the bacteria that was caused by Covid and it had started a massive attack inside of my leg. We were informed that not only did I have rapidly spreading sepsis, but also cellulitis. I was admitted to the hospital and informed that I had approximately 12 hours to get the antibiotics into my system or I would no longer be alive. After having the antibiotics for two days through the IV they did a CAT scan and said the infection was extremely deep, and wanted to do an emergency surgery to get out as much as possible and have packing placed in the wounds. I had the packing removed this morning and placed on a very strong antibiotic orally. The cost of this medication was almost $600.00 and it will probably require two rounds to be safe. We have cut into our rent as the savings were depleted and are very concerned that I may not longer have a job due to the complications of the situation. Our rent is due in just a few days and we have no way to pull this together on our own. We also want to make sure that we can cover the next dose of antibiotics in a week. We appreciate anything you are able to help with wether it's prayers, shares, or donations. Nothing is unappreciated. I do also have a cash app if it is needed instead. Please share and most of all thank you so much for all your prayers!!!! It definitely changes things!! All praise to the most high!!!
