Help Clarissa Receive Her Well-Deserved Tony
Donation protected
For as long as I can remember, my sister, Clarissa, dreamed of moving to New York to work on Broadway. In 2023, she finally made that dream a reality. She made the trek across the country with two bags and the money she had saved up from working three jobs. Shortly after moving, she landed a role at TBD Productions as an Assistant Producer. In November 2024, she got her first producing credit on the new musical, Maybe Happy Ending. On May 1, 2025, Maybe Happy Ending was nominated for a Tony for Best New Musical, which meant that my sister was also nominated for her very first Tony. This past Sunday, June 8, 2025, my sister won her very first Tony as a producer on the Best New Musical of the year. My family and I could not be prouder or more ecstatic for my sister. Unfortunately, to receive her Tony award, she must pay a fee of $3,020 by this Monday, June 16, 2025. The American Theater Wing does not award free Tony's to all Tony winners. I would hate for my sister to not be able to receive her Tony award because she cannot afford it. She currently works three jobs and lives paycheck to paycheck. I am trying to help her raise money for the Tony she so genuinely deserves. My sister is the hardest-working person I know. She has sacrificed so much to be where she is today. This Tony is not only a testament to all the hard work and passion my sister puts into her career, but it is a tribute to the three-year-old Clarissa who fell in love with theater upon watching The Lion King live at the Pantages. On behalf of my family, I'd like to thank you for supporting my sister in her career endeavors. Thank you!
