Help Clarissa Flores Deal with Cancer

Many of you know Clarissa Flores, as "Chef Clarissa", the incredibly  talented and gifted professional chef.  We also know "Claro" as a fun loving, nurturing   and  devoted  friend and family member who shines light on so many of us.  Many  people  have been thoroughly enriched by having Clarissa as part of their own  life journey. 

Now it is time to understand the challenging journey that Clarissa is  facing.

On January 5th,  Clarissa was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Liver Cancer  which has spread through her bloodstream, lymph nodes and bones.  She is surrounded by her loving family and friends  and is now living with her sister Rose in Benicia. Her extended family has united around her,  providing  daily care and comfort.  

A team of  Bay Area Oncologist  have  designed  a chemotherapy regimen that will help shrink the tumors and reduce the pain.  Despite a very daunting journey ahead, Claro remains  positive and ready to fight her cancer.

In December, Clarissa lost her  position as Food and Beverage Manager  at the  Marriott in Santa Rosa due to the  coronavirus epidemic.   Her health insurance benefits ended on December 31st.  She  is in the process of seeking additional health insurance options, a task that is overwhelming during a medical crisis. Clarissa will need both emotional and  financial support.
