Hi, my name is Clarissa.

I have a beautiful family of 6. My husband and I got together 21 years ago at the age of 15. Our children are 3, 16, 17, and 19.

On Sunday, February 1st, 2026, my husband was dropping me off at work with our toddler. On their way home, another vehicle passed a red light, striking my husband and toddler, leaving our vehicle totaled.

My son endured a broken tibia, which is a miracle after seeing how the car was left. However, my husband endured the full impact. He was rushed to emergency surgery with multiple physical lacerations and broken bones. Above all, he was left with a traumatic brain injury.

He spent 2 months in the hospital where he was able to recover physically but still has not fully regained enough consciousness to respond to requests.

He was sent home on Friday, April 3rd. I am his caregiver since he is bed-bound, and above all, I am still taking care of my household. My toddler is already healed from his broken tibia.

This situation we have been facing left my working husband disabled and me not able to work, which is starting to affect our living conditions.

I am in need of your help to provide medical needs for my husband, possibly a medical van to transfer him to and from appointments, and living expenses to make sure he has a safe, comfy home to live in while I care for him, especially my beautiful children who didn't choose this lifestyle.
