Help Clarissa and Noah Save Their Home

Hello everyone,

My name is Clarissa, and I’m reaching out today with a humble request for support during a very challenging time.

A little bit about myself and my family. I am a single mom, and my son Noah and I have a home that we have lived and loved since 2009, and intend to keep with our two dogs, Lenny and Tater, and a cat named Fish. Our home means everything to us.

The foundation of our home has suffered significant damage—a major crack has caused the front of the house to sink by six inches so far. This has led to widespread issues throughout the home, including seven water leaks, visible cracks in the walls, and structural damage to the front porch. We are not able to lock our front door or back door due to the shifting.

As you can imagine, the repairs are extensive and urgent. Left unaddressed, the damage will only get worse, making the home unsafe and unlivable. Unfortunately, the cost of repairing a foundation—and addressing all the resulting issues—is far beyond what I can manage on my own. I have obtained several quotes, and the price for foundation repair is $18,129.50. I have given everything I have in a deposit of $9,154.50. The plumbing is the most significant cost at $27,050.00. Noah and I will be doing all of the repairs to the walls, doors, and flooring ourselves. I’m not sure what other costs will be associated with such a massive project. I anticipate we might have to rent an Airbnb for some time since the house will not be livable during the few weeks it takes to repair the foundation and plumbing.
