How do you help your rock? My name is Paralee, a.k.a. Franny, and this account is for my dad, Clarence.
About 2 months ago, a lump appeared on his neck. He brought it to his doctor’s attention and here we are…
He has a cancerous mass about the size of a baseball attached to a lymph node and sitting on his carotid artery. Surgery is not an option because of the location. In the next 6 weeks, he will undergo 30 rounds of radiation and have a very long session of chemo once a week.
In the blink of an eye, his whole world changed. He has already had to stop working and driving. Thank God for those that are there to help get him back and forth, but Lord knows it’s not free. He has to travel to Lafayette five days a week for treatment. With him already having to stop working, bills are just harder to pay and groceries are harder to come by.
I don’t expect a miracle and I could never ask for one. Having to reach out and ask for any kind of help is hard but this is where life has taken us. I have watched him help so many people over my lifetime that I knew that this was all I could do. If you are able, then we graciously thank you. If not, then please just send out a prayer or good thought with his name on it because you can never have enough blessings.
