Help Clara Beat Breast Cancer
My name is Dalila, and I’ve opened this campaign on behalf of my sister Brenda Dias. This is her story:
Brenda's Story:
This is my mother, Clara Luz Dias. She is 52 years old and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, changing her life as well as my own.
Clara lives in Belize, where she raised my five siblings and me on her own. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly, struggling to provide and care for the six of us. Although we didn’t have much, her love was always enough. She is still caring for my youngest sister who is only 16, and she is now also a grandmother to 12 children.
How You Can Help:
In Belize, health insurance is cost prohibitive for most, my mother included. In order to beat cancer, Clara needs to begin chemotherapy immediately, followed by surgery to remove the tumor. However, without insurance, medical treatment is simply out of reach for her. This leaves the financial responsibility for her treatment to me, and with two children of my own to take care of, my husband and I don’t have the resources to cover her medical expenses.
My mother is my hero, and I can’t imagine life without her. Any help you can give will be life changing for our entire family, and we thank you so much for your love, support and well wishes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
