Help Clara Achieve Her Dream

Hello! My name is Clara and I am currently a senior attending Tacoma's Science and Math Institute.  Although I go to a math and science based school, my dream is to become a musician. 

Since I was 13 years old, I have been a part of multiple choirs, participated in an after school acapella group, taken guitar classes, given a lead role in Willy Wonka the Musical, and was chosen to be a part of a region wide honor choir. This past semester I was honored to work with Vicci Martinez who was on Season 1 of The Voice who left as a top three contestant. She helped my class in creating original songs and really shed some light on how to be successful in the music industry. I learned a lot about who I am as a musician and the type of music I someday hope to produce. As you can see, I have a lot of experience with music and I am excited to continue this passion of mine at Nexus Insitute of Creative Arts in Coventry England.  

I knew I wanted to attend Nexus ever since my older brother went years ago. I know multiple people who have gone and I saw the impact the school has had on them. I could tell that my brother grew not only as a musician but as a person. Nexus is an extremely positive environment and believes that building a strong community is vital for a persons success and growth. 
They are building on an education system that is person-centered which focuses on developing the whole person. Nexus is built on integrity, honesty, openess, and leadership. Knowing I will be surrounded by positive people, in a powerfully engaging loving community, I can confidently say Nexus will benefit me and help me flourish as a person and a musician.

While I chose to attend SAMi dreaming to become a marine biologist, it has become clear to me that my real passion lies in music. I would be forever grateful if you would help support me in continuing my passion. And I am excited to see what God has in store for me next.
