I am Madeline Elkins and I am starting this fund for my dog Claire. I got Claire 3.5 weeks ago. She is 4 years old and has been a healthy dog up until now. On Sunday, she started showing signs of neck pain with her ears pinned back and her neck tensed. I took her to the emergency animal hospital near my house. They noted she may have slept wrong on her neck and that was causing the pain. She was sent home with pain medications and I was told to follow up with my normal vet. I brought her in last night to her routine vet where she was showing signs of neurological delays and my vet shared Claire will need a CT scan to determine her condition. It appeared as though she is showing signs of IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) which is common in french bulldogs. When she is in pain and her medicine is wearing off, she goes into a stretched position and pants excessively as shown in the photos. Her condition is quite urgent and I will need to address the matter over the next week.

In gathering quotes around the valley, a CT scan will be average $2000 and a surgery will be $3,000 - $4000. I am not in a financial position so soon to provide this level of financial care to Claire at this time considering she just had a wellness check with her vet on June 6th in which the vet noted she seemed healthy for her age. I am asking for any and all donations to help diagnose the severity of her condition through a CT scan and address the treatment following the CT scan. Without the financial support, I will have to explore options of surrendering her to a rescue. I appreciate your time and willingness to donate.
