Help Claire & Matt Recover From L.A. Winds and Fires

Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of my sister and brother in law, Claire & Matt, during this challenging time in the Los Angeles area. Their home has been significantly damaged by the recent severe weather and windstorms in Pasadena. The severe weather and resulting smoke damage have had a devastating effect not only on the structure of their home, but also the sense of safety and comfort that a home provides.

A beautiful yet massive tree fell onto their house and car, crushing the front half of their home. Their house has been deemed unsafe per the city of Pasadena, with conditions currently unlivable. The family is dealing with the damage to their home, which continues to be exposed to the wind and the smoke from the fires. Claire & Matt, along with their 3 children (youngest being 2 months old) had to evacuate the area. The aftermath has left their living situation unpredictable and their home in urgent need of repairs. They will not be able to return to the house, until the structure is rebuilt.

Your generous and thoughtful donation will help Claire and Matt to be better prepared for unknown expenses as they navigate their recovery. Should any portion of this fund go unused in restoration efforts, the remaining will be donated to a local cause affected by the fires in the Altadena/Pasadena community.
