Help Claire Hopper Battle Kidney Cancer

Claire's family has put together this GoFundMe to help cover the costs for something that no 23-year-old should ever have to go through - cancer.

Claire Hopper is a 23-year-old from Ridgley, Tennessee. In April of this year, Claire was diagnosed with her first type of cancer - ovarian cancer. It is extremely rare for it to be caught as early as it was (stage 1). She was told that she had to have emergency surgery because the tumor was crushing her organs. She was lucky enough to be able to be cured without chemo and radiation, all by the healing hands of God.

Fast forward to late August. Claire has now been diagnosed with kidney cancer. This has no relation to the first cancer diagnosis. She is now preparing - mentally, emotionally, and financially - to fight this.

"Cancer. A word I didn’t think could make me feel any worse than it did the first time. My heart pounds every time I hear it. I needed some time to process all of this and accept it... just to take it all in. I have been diagnosed with kidney cancer. No relation to the cancer I had before. This one is a completely different type. I want to be transparent and not act like I have it all together. I am doing my best to stay positive, but I am struggling right now. I’m trying not to be defeated and keep my faith, but I would be lying if I said it was easy. We don’t know if it’s confined to one area or what my plan of treatment is. We are hoping for just surgery and this all to be over. My mind is more tired than my body, but I’ve beat cancer once and I know God will carry me through this time too. If my daddy left me on this earth with one thing, it was his fight. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as we figure out how to get through this and what happens next.
