My name is Violet Chase, and I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my girlfriend, Claire Robineau.

"I'm a 29 year old trans woman living in Canada, and my living situation is becoming increasingly hostile. Financial circumstances forced me to move back in with my mother, who has been abusive and transphobic from the moment I returned. I am verbally abused, threatened, and mocked for my disability on a daily basis.

I was formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia ago, experiencing severe pain flare-ups in my left arm, legs, and neck. This often results in me being unable to finish daily tasks given to me by my mother, and ends with shouting and threats.

I'm currently paying my mother 85% of the money I get from welfare as I wait for approval from ODSP (disability), making it impossible for me to save up the amount necessary to leave, and rent an apartment with my girlfriend.

I'm reaching out on GoFundMe today after threats of my contact with the outside world being cut off. I'm doing my best to keep myself together, but my mental health is deteriorating rapidly. I'll be using the funds to help secure first and last months rent from an apartment, and to help with food and other essentials.
