Hi, my name is Claire. I’ve been living with multiple complex health conditions for years, including Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, Vascular EDS, Pectus Excavatum, Marfan Syndrome, chronic spinal disease Scoliosis and Degenerative Disc Disease. These conditions already make daily life challenging and me a crutches/wheelchair user.

Recently, I’ve been experiencing severe gallstone attacks, causing extreme pain, low oxygen levels (hypoxia), rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), which cause serious limitations on even basic activities like walking or showering, breathing. These episodes have led to repeated hospital admissions and emergency treatment.

Previous surgeries and treatments have been declined by the NHS, and now I’m at a dead end with this also — waiting for years is not an option. Private surgery is the only way to get the urgent care I need.

Goal: £9,000 — this will cover private gallbladder removal surgery, including hospital fees, pre-operative tests, and post-operative care. The exact cost may vary slightly depending on final hospital estimates, but this target reflects the maximum expected amount.
