Hi Everyone,
My name is Carl "CJ" Reed Jr, and I have an incredible opportunity to perform at the renowned Royal Albert Hall for The Proms with the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers! This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of a spectacular performance, and I need your help to make it happen.
My Musical Journey:
I have been singing since the age of 7 and it has taken me all across the world to share my gift and positively impact others abroad, and in my hometown of Baltimore: • Maryland State Boychoir: 2008-2016; traveled to Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico and more. • Oakwood University Aeolians: 2016-2022; traveled to England, South Africa, Jamaica and more. • Jason Max Ferdinand Singers: 2022-Present; is currently traveling nationally and internationally. • Summer Camp- Music Teacher: 2023 • St. Veronica's Catholic Church Choir Director: 2023-Present • Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys- Music Teacher: 2023-Present.
Why I Need Your Support:
To cover the costs of my travel and stay in London, I need to raise $2,000. This will go towards: • Airfare: Round trip from the US to London • Hotel Accommodations: Stay from September 3rd to September 9th, 2024 Travel Plans: • Tuesday, September 3, 2024: Travel to London • Thursday, September 7, 2024: Perform at the BBC Proms at Royal • Monday, September 9, 2024: Return to the US About the Performance: The Jason Max Ferdinand Singers are making their UK debut, bringing a powerful mix of classical, jazz, and gospel music. Our repertoire includes the jazz standard 'Misty,' Jacob Collier's harmonically rich "World O World, and Woody Guthrie's gospel-inspired anthem 'This Land Is Your Land, celebrating themes of faith and freedom. This remarkable opportunity has sparked excitement within our organization, and we are eager to share our music with a global audience!
