Help CJ and Onyx Find Stability and Shelter

Hi, my name is CJ, and right now, I’m living out of my car with my cat, Onyx.

Last year, I lost both my mom and my grandma—the two people who raised and supported me. The grief hit hard, but it was more than just emotional. I lost my home, my stability, and the people who kept me grounded.

After they passed, I got Onyx. She’s not just my cat—she’s my emotional support animal, my family now. She helps me stay sane through the worst of it. Every night, she curls up next to me in the car. I talk to her when I feel alone. She licks my hands when I cry. I would do anything to keep her safe.

I’ve been delivering for UberEats to survive. Most of what I make goes toward gas, food, and keeping my phone running so I can keep working. We sleep in parking lots. I’m trying to find steady work, but it’s been a slow process, and it's hard to keep pushing when you’re tired, unshowered, and carrying so much emotional weight.

This GoFundMe is my way of asking for a hand—so I can keep Onyx fed and safe, keep the car running, and have a little room to breathe while I keep applying and trying. Even just a clean place to rest for a night would help.
