When the Gann Fire swept through Calaveras County, CJ and Julia lost their home and everything in it in a matter of hours. Along with their belongings, they also lost some of their animals, which has been devastating for them.

CJ is one of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet, always the first to help others in his community. The love and support he’s received now is a reflection of the kindness he has always given so freely. Without fire insurance, CJ and Julia are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over from nothing.

Thankfully, they are safe and have temporary housing through November, but the road ahead is long as they work to rebuild their lives.
