Hello everyone, my name is Marla Willis. I am here to tell the journey of Calwin James (CJ), my son-in-law. He is married to my daughter Courtney, and they have two children: Quintin, who is serving in the Air Force, and Gia, who is a freshman.

He was told that he had sarcoma on April 20, 2022. There was a mass in his chest, stage 4. Cancer went to his right lung, then his left lung, and back to his right lung. His right lung was removed. Thyroid surgery was next. On August 8th, he had massive headaches; it was cancer in his brain. It was not operable. On September 23, he had a heart attack. CJ stayed in the hospital for 6 days, and we were told there is nothing more they can do. He came home on September 29th for hospice.

There is no life insurance. Courtney is CJ's caretaker 24/7. They have no income to pay anything. The donations will help with the medical bills and personal debt. CJ's love of God has never faltered. His smile and spirit are still uplifting to others. He never gives up. His love for people remains high.

Update for CJ. Calwin James passed away early morning on October 11th at his home with his wife and children. His spirit, smile and light will forever shine. The void from his passing will never be filled. CJ's love of people and life was amazing to see... Thank you everyone for the love and prayers and support. The kindness has been astounding.
