For over 15 years, I have proudly served my community in New Jersey as a volunteer and activist. Now, I find myself in a position I never imagined—reaching out for help to keep my family safe and together. My 17-year-old son CJ is autistic and nonverbal, and I am his only support. The responsibility is often overwhelming, but I am determined to do everything I can to protect him and provide stability.

Last year, our family was hit by a medical emergency that set us back in ways we’re still struggling to recover from. Between my own health issues and the out-of-pocket costs for CJ’s essential supplies, it has been nearly impossible to catch up. The financial strain has been devastating, and despite my best efforts, we are now at risk of losing our home.

The funds raised here will go directly toward bringing our rent current, ensuring that CJ and the rest of our family can stay in our home while we work to arrange payment going forward.
