My name is Christopher Pichay and I own and run an independent private medical office with my wife, Jennifer. We are both board-certified family physicians and have been building our client base since 2006 here in the South Shore, MA. Since opening our business in 2009, decreasing insurance payments, ideological rather than scientific requirements, and financial rather than compassionate expectations have made it near impossible to continue our healthcare delivery model.
Yet we did and have.
The previous barriers have caused us to move 2 different times. Leaving a money-centered physician's organization caused unwarranted difficulty in continuing on without them. Board cases brought up against us for treating our patients based on evidence and up-to-date data that went against their obsolete ideology and outdated standard of care have cost us up to $200,000.
Yet somehow we continue to be open.
Our waiting list continues to grow as people are clamoring for the type of healthcare we deliver. We talk to and listen to our patients, NOT talking at and threatening them. We devise care plans actually based on research, data, reason, common sense, and experience NOT on outdated ideology, precedence, and egoism.
Because we practice medicine this way, those older established entities want us out of business and have tried so hard to either buy us out to practice their way and make money for them or get us out altogether.
We play by the rules of our healthcare pay system, taking decreasing insurance payments and state and federal insurances. We decided to do this so that EVERYONE, rich or poor, young or older, can have access to the care we give.
And now, with the construction of a new space to accommodate our growing families and waiting list, we are on the verge of closing due to all the rising costs thrown at us by those who are trying to make as much money as they can from us while we are not.
Please consider donating to our office so we can continue to provide the kind of healthcare everyone is thirsting for. Please consider donating so that all our patients will not have to find corporate-owned healthcare providers where they are just numbers and not people.
