On May 6th I received a bunch of photos from my mother showing her wood stove and kitchen had caught fire that night and for her to tell me she was lucky to be alive. My mother woke up at 3AM to smoke throughout the kitchen and her bedroom which is right near and realized something wasn't right. She quickly got out of bed to check the wood stove and saw the room on fire as she opened her bedroom door. She quickly scurried through the house trying not to breath in the smoke to get the animals that where in the house out of harms way. If you know my mother she is every animals angel she will do anything for any animal no matter what. My mother runs a quarantine for horses and other animals, meaning she takes in the sick and unwanted animals that go to slaughterhouses nurtures them back to health, and finds good homes for them with the people she is connected to. My mother has a heart of gold and doesn't deserve this is any shape or form. Due to the nature of when she had to move from PA to NY in such short time and to move 20+ horses and everything that comes with the farm they had to close on the house ASAP and therefore did not get a proper inspection of the wood stove. Insurance company is fighting and trying to deny the claim for this incident that occurred and thus is causing a big headache and financial burden on my mother as she already is struggling like many others to pay bills in life but she always makes sure the animals are warm, happy, and fed. My mother is an amazing women, and I am very sad to see her home ruined in more ways then one when all she ever does in this world is good for anyone or any animal. For those of you who know me you know I do not like to ask for help or donations ever but this is an incident I cannot handle on my own. Any share, positive comment, or any amount of money generated is better then none. I would love to spread some love to my mother in such a hard time in her life especially when she finally thought she was getting financially back on track. Tom is her amazing husband who is also pictured above. He is the backbone of the quarantine operation and would also do anything to save or help an animal. These are 2 of the most genuine people I know and they don't deserve these financial headaches. Thank you for your time & Much Love,
