Cindy has always been a giver. The one who lifts others up, remembers birthdays, brings comfort, and quietly keeps things growing. Now, after a devastating illness that has changed her life forever, it’s our turn to give back.
Cindy has done so much watering in her life. It’s time for her to be the garden, and for all of us to help her bloom again.
Over the past two years, Cindy has faced one health challenge after another. Despite countless doctor visits, tests, and hospital stays, no one could figure out what was wrong. Then, in late September, everything changed. Cindy was placed in the ICU in Columbus, Ohio, where she became barely responsive, her circulation failing, and her kidneys requiring dialysis. Doctors warned her family that she could lose her hands.
For a brief moment, there was hope. Her color returned, her heart began circulating blood on its own, and she was able to talk again. But the improvement didn’t last. A severe blood infection — believed to have come from a feeding tube near her heart — spread through her body and caused irreversible damage to her hands and feet.
In the weeks since, Cindy has endured what no one should ever have to face. Both of her hands have now been amputated, and soon doctors will amputate her legs. They won’t know until surgery whether the procedure can be done below the knee.
Through all of this, Cindy has shown an extraordinary amount of strength, grace, and courage. She’s a mom, a daughter, a sister, and a wife to a family who adores her. Her husband, Ron, and her parents, Pam and Mark, have been by her side every step of the way. Her sister, Debbie, has been a constant source of love and support.
Cindy now faces a long road to recovery — months of rehabilitation, prosthetics, and major changes to her home so she can regain independence and continue being the incredible mom, wife, and daughter she’s always been. The medical bills, travel costs, and home modifications are already overwhelming.
We’re asking for your help to support Cindy and her family through this next phase of healing. Your donation will help with:
• Medical and rehabilitation expenses
• Prosthetic hands and legs
• Home accessibility modifications
• Travel and lodging for family while Cindy is in care
If you’re able to give, please do. If you can’t, please share this page and keep Cindy and her family in your prayers. Every bit of help, every kind word, and every share makes a real difference.
Thank you for standing with Cindy and her family as they fight through this together.
