Our dear friend Cindy Buckley Koren went to Hamilton Hospital over Labor Day weekend thinking she had a simple digestive issue. After 24 hours, she was transferred to Upstate Hospital — and received devastating news: advanced, aggressive ovarian cancer.
Cindy has always been strong, creative, and resilient. She is now facing the hardest fight of her life, preparing for major surgery with a renowned surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering on October 29.
Ovarian cancer is known as a silent disease, often found late because symptoms are vague. It’s one of the deadliest cancers affecting women, but Cindy believes deeply in the power of prayer, faith, and the healing strength of love and community.
Anyone who knows Cindy knows she would never ask for help — so we are asking for her. The costs of travel, lodging, treatments, and natural supplements are already overwhelming. Your donations will help ease that burden so she can focus fully on healing.
Please keep Cindy in your prayers, and if you’re able, contribute to this fund. Every dollar and every prayer counts.
With gratitude and faith,
Her friends and family
