Help Cindy Laguda for Operations Cost
Cindy was diagnosed with METASTATIC LUNG ADENOCARCINOMA WITH ALK MUTATION (STAGE 4 LUNG CANCER) She underwent a lot of procedures for treatment and complications. One of those is the total hip replacement with pins and screws on her left leg due to the tumours that had eaten all of her hip bones, she also suffer from Liver drainage due to the excess fluids around it and the lungs was infected too.
After a year having the Oral-Targetted treatment, it comes to a point that all these tablets are not working in her body anymore. So her oncologist Dr. Vladimir Andelcovic decided to switch her to Chemotherapy. First chemo drug was working only until 3months. Switch again to the second chemo drug which still do the same and as well as on the third. And the current chemo drug she's having right now is giving her the biggest trouble. Currently, she is admitted at Mater Hospital - ICU bed P 708 in Brisbane Australia due to the bleeding in her Liver that spreads all over her abdominal areas. She then underwent for a radiotherapy of her liver to stop the bleeding and second session will be after 5days.. but unfortunately the night after her radiotherapy, the haemoglobin counts from 115 going down to 60 which is very alarming because that means it still bleeds from the inside and it is life threatening despite how many bags of blood transfusion was given. The doctor then decided to do a procedure that should stop the bleeding which they call Angiographic Embolisation to block all those blood vessels that bleeds in her liver. If, in worst case scenario and bleeding continues, she will undergo for a liver surgery which is a life threatening surgery because it will cause an uncontrolled blood loss as she was having a DIC (Disseminated
Intravascular Coagulation) abnormal clumps of thickened blood clots form inside blood vessels. These abnormal clots use up the blood's clotting factors, which can lead to massive bleeding. (Please be aware that a massive tumour was lying in her liver next to the bleeding vessels) reason why it is difficult to treat.
We are knocking at your kind heart to help Cindy in this difficult time. Your donation will be much appreciated. Thank you very much.
