Help Cindy Heal From Her Accident!
Donativo protegido
Dear friends and family,
I experienced a very terrifying car accident when a car ran a stop sign at a 4-way intersection going about 30mph, hit my DRIVER side, and then fled the scene on Friday night, August 10th, 2018 in Oakland, CA.
The accident left me with physical injuries, trauma, and pain that have kept me from working in my business and making the income I need. I paid for healing out of my pocket and received generous help from friends but I'm not yet able to get back in the game.
I have not been able to alleviate fully yet and am seeking the courage to ask your help so I can get back on my feet.
Can you help by donating?
******
I am healing from:
-Concussion
-Whiplash
-Spinal misalignment
-Intense muscle pain
-PTSD
-Fatigue
-Emotional stress
-Psychological stress
******
... so I can get back to life and my work.
What Happened?
During the first month of recovery, the concussion made it nearly impossible to think clearly, to feel okay, to walk with balance, cook for myself, and remember things from day to day. I experienced extreme sensitivity to stimulus, loud noises, conversations, crowds, & computer screens, extreme brain fatigue, so I stayed isolated. I didn't tell people what was happening...
Due to these conditions, I was not able to work full-time in my business supporting women leaders. I tried, but kept falling into worse exhaustion. After some weeks of recovery, I did lead an event I had created before the accicdent. Someone else did all the marketing. 85 women registered to build their tribes. I showed up, led, and then was depleted for days. It was too much and I could barely make it home that night...
So there's been significant physical pain, isolation, depression, and grief. Even worse, I have felt at times like I had been robbed of my purpose. I have found it again as friends and colleagues rallied to support me, and suggest I create this vulnerable ask for your donation.
What Else Has Happened?
* I tried disability & unemployment benefits, but was not eligible.
* I maxed out my MedPay funds from insurance for healing treatment, but need more treatments.
* I thought I needed to push myself to create revenue to pay for my healing and for my business to stay afloat, but every step forward comes with two steps back. I realized I need to ask for help.
What Can You Do To Help?
The reason I have not been able to recover properly & quickly is due to not being able to pay for treatments that require out-of-pocket cash.
I have not been able to 100% FOCUS my time on healing because, of course, I need to be financially responsible. Letting this linger and not addressing certain ailments in a timely manner is not good especially caused by an accident of this kind.
My priority is to continue getting the right treatments so that I can get back on my feet. Your help will assist me in covering my basic living requirements, some of my bills, and some basic business expense to stay afloat. So this is timely and a crucial time for me, so it's urgent.
Can you Help Today?
By getting me back on my feet, you're helping me continue supporting evolutionary women & LGBTQ women leaders around the world to spread their message. That's what I do best. These women also need to lead and build their tribe, and I help them do that. Their transformational work evolves how humans live with the planet, and that's my mission.
I’m committed to getting back on my feet so that I can help women leaders rise up!
And now with this experience, I'm committed to helping women leaders rise without breaking down.

What friends are saying about Cindy:
“As long as I have known Cindy, she has worked relentlessly to benefit the community. On a local scale of leading free yoga sessions with the neighborhood, to large-scale organization and event development capacity building. Cindy has been such a charismatic and befriending force within the community, making it especially difficult to see her continuously suffer from the trauma of her car accident. Cindy is resilient, illustrated by her efforts as an entrepreneur.
However, she is forced to focus on healing herself without financial assistance, before she can continue to support her clients. Please join Team Cindy in contributing towards her healing process. Thank You!”
- Sean Rubens & Jessica McGowan Vanderbeck
"Let's all support Cindy who is a community connector and leader. She is so humble I had to BEG her to do this GoFundMe! She really needs us to lift her up this round as she lifts up so many people.
When I was longing for community and connection I met her because she was teaching Queer Yoga. Through that she became my friend, I gained another new friend (which lead to a whole new community!), and NOW I teach queer yoga! This is just one of many ways she supports us. But even if she wasn't so kind and amazing she would still deserve our support. A crappy thing happened to her out of the blue. It derailed her for a bit but lets get her back on track!"
-April Hirschman
"I am asking for your kind help to support my good friend, Cindy Manit. I have known Cindy for 4 years and she has a powerful mission and a unique gift of bringing community together. Two months ago Cindy was in a severe hit and run car accident. She is physically unable to work as her body needs treatment and time to heal.
Over the next couple months, she will need extensive emotional, physical, and trauma reduction support. Unfortunately, Cindy’s insurance has maxed out and she does not qualify for disability. Her bills are quickly stacking and she needs urgent financial help. Please help me to support her healing so she can get the treatment she needs and continue on with her purposeful work. "
-Danielle Bowman
"Cindy always uplifts my spirits whenever I’m with her. She brings a spark and a powerful energy that enlivens everyone she interacts with. Not only that, she’s creating a powerful impact on our planet by dedicating herself to supporting and empowering other women and LGBTQ women to grow their powerful work in the world.
She dedicates so much of her life to supporting others, and now she needs our help. I can’t think of someone more deserving of having her community support her through this challenging time. Please consider contributing to Cindy’s campaign to support her healing so she can get back to doing her life’s work!"
