My name is Cindy, and I am a Theatre Nurse and Fertility Coordinator from Trinidad and Tobago and a mum of four. At the end of 2023, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare and serious bone marrow cancer. Along with this diagnosis, I was given a reduced

life expectancy without curative treatment.

The only cure for my condition is a Bone Marrow Transplant, a procedure that is unfortunately not available in my home country. This means I must seek treatment abroad—something that comes with overwhelming medical and financial challenges for my family and I.

While I work toward raising the funds needed for the transplant, I am receiving essential care through a clinic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. They assist me with accessing my prescribed medication, VONJO (pacritinib), at a discounted rate. Vonjo is a targeted therapy and JAK inhibitor used to treat myelofibrosis and helps manage the disease until I can undergo the life-saving transplant.

I am humbly asking for support as I fight for the chance to live a long, healthy life. Any contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to receiving the treatment I urgently need.
