Help Cindy Fight Metastatic Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Our dear friend, Cynthia Turo, a loving mother of three, and devoted wife was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 6th, 2019. Shortly after the diagnosis, Cindy underwent a lumpectomy which revealed positive margins. On April 1st, 2020 she had a mastectomy to remove the cancer. Shortly after she received the call every cancer patient longs to hear… she was in remission. Recently, during a reconstruct procedure her doctors found a recurrent cancer in her chest wall. Cindy discovered her cancer had returned and spread to her pelvis. She has now been diagnosed with metastatic Stage 4 cancer.
Cindy is a fighter who will stop at nothing to conquer this disease.
Cindy has been chronicling her journey on social media to spread awareness and document her battle. Her positivity is an inspiration to so many and now is the time for us to share our good thoughts, prayers and collective resources to help support her through this battle. Many in the community have asked for a way to support the Turo’s. Please consider donating to help the family with the mounting out of pocket and out of network expense, high deductibles/medical copayments, and insurance costs.
Cindy is seeking alternative treatment options besides the traditional palliative care which add to the overall cost to wage this fight. Complicating her options is the fact that she has an underlying heart condition which makes conventional treatment much more risky. Currently, Cindy is working with a new oncologist that feels she can get her into remission. While she is fighting this battle, we ask that you help alleviate a little less stress on the family by donating. Anything helps, thank you!
