Our friend and coworker, Cindy Babe, was diagnosed with non-small cell adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) in June 2021. Her cancer has also metastasized to her bones causing her some significant back pain. She needs all of our support right now. Cindy has been a UA in Mercy's PACU nearly 20 years. Many have come to know Cindy as a coworker and friend over this time. Her dedication and hard work have kept the PACU running smoothly for many years. Many would agree she is one of the hardest workers they have ever met! She means so much to so many of us here at Mercy and beyond.

In an effort to help her during this difficult time this GoFundMe page has been created. Cindy is determined to stay as positive as she can throughout this fight. She loves her job and coworkers and misses her work family very much. While Cindy does have a couple treatment options available to slow the cancer down, she has put her faith in God and prefers to not dwell on the negative side but instead focus on the positive. ​​ Cindy welcomes positive thoughts and prayers.

Please keep Cindy and her family in your prayers. Her family has suffered major loss this year already, with the loss of her son in law to cancer in February.
