Ciera and Chase were married just last year, building a life together in their home on Jones Ave. Everything changed when they noticed smoke coming from their attic. Firefighters responded and used a thermal imaging camera to quickly find overheated wiring in the attic. The crew worked for hours to contain the damage, removing insulation, drywall, and asbestos to catch the electrical fire and trying to save what they could. Despite their efforts, Ciera and Chase lost nearly everything—clothes, furniture, art, journals, and precious family heirlooms. While the material things can be replaced, the loss of their space and peace has been the hardest part.
After the fire, Ciera and Chase learned that their insurance had dropped fire protection, leaving them to face the costs of rebuilding and replacing everything out of pocket. They’ve found a temporary place to stay and safe spots for their animals, but they need help buying new clothes, bedding, and the basics to start over. Through this experience, they’ve realized the strength of their relationship and the importance of family and community support. Every donation will help them rebuild and remind them that they’re not alone. Thank you for helping Ciera and Chase find hope and stability again.
