Help Cicilia Hagen Overcome Cancer

Who am I?

My Name is Justin and this is a crowdfunding to save my niece, Cicilia. My brother and I lost my dad to cancer, so the news of her diagnosis hit our family hard. But today, is not about me, it’s about my wonderful niece, Cicilia.

About Cicilia

Cicilia is funny, intelligent, talented ballet dancer and writer. She loves learning and graduates high school in June with dual enrollment taking college classes. Her college professors are really impressed with her work/writing skills. She managed to get straight A’s in the middle of all her surgeries. Her Principal even recommended she take a break from her studies but she still pursued finishing strong with a 4.0.

Cicilia was planning on auditioning for summer incentives to get into a ballet dancing company during audition season (which would’ve been now) but her cancer diagnosis and treatments put a hault to it. It’s her dream to pursue once she gets better but cancer set her goals back.

Her Condition

It began when Cicilia started complaining about extreme abdominal pain. Cicilia was rushed to the Emergency Room with extreme pain and had surgery for a rare complication in her intestines, losing a foot of her small intestines and enlarged lymph nodes were discovered. A week after surgery she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and she is currently being treated with chemotherapy. Naturally, her/the family are under enormous stress including the medical costs piling up.

Why am I doing this?

It’s important everyone knows Cicilia is more than the bad things that are happening to her. Superheroes don’t wear capes, they are people like you who decide to make a difference thru compassion, empathy and love.

I’ve lost my dad to the same cancer Cicilia now has, and cancer took a major toll on my family.

We help each other and look after each other during good times and bad. In times of need I do the best I can as a loving father, husband, friend and uncle to be there in the way I can. I now ask to help my family.
