After getting off the street in 2021 Ciara is in her hometown with a place for herself and her pets. She works as a home health aid and continues her hair business in her off hours.
However, her small midwestern town is not a good environment for a Black trans woman trying to build her life up from scratch. Her hometown has no respect for trans people, no affordable insurance that gives any kind of trans-affirming care, and is generally an unsafe town for trans women and girls!
She hasn’t been able to stay on her estrogen shots and is overwhelmed with gender dysphoria while working 12 hour days.
She needs $7,200 to move herself, her puppies, and her things back to Albuquerque, where she is arranging to continue her hair stylist career and her day job as a home health aid. Ciara’s heart is in New Mexico. Her trans family is in New Mexico. We need her in New Mexico too!
Please help me get my best friend back to Albuquerque!
