Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out for help during this incredibly difficult time. My husband, Chuy, has been battling severe heart complications, leading to multiple hospitalizations and three cardiac ablations within the past year. While we are grateful that his most recent procedure was successful, we are now overwhelmed with medical expenses.
Chuy’s Journey:
On July 1, 2024, Chuy underwent his first cardiac ablation. Everything seemed fine at first, but just a few days later, in the early morning of July 4th, he suffered severe complications—his heart rate spiked, he experienced palpitations, profuse sweating, and even lost consciousness. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted for four days while doctors worked to stabilize him.
Shortly after being released, his heart rate skyrocketed again (152 bpm), leading to another hospital stay. Doctors then recommended a second ablation, hoping to correct any missed problem areas. However, despite the procedure, Chuy continued experiencing dangerous heart rhythms, forcing us into a cycle of emergency visits throughout July. During this time, he was unable to work, adding financial stress to an already challenging situation.
Chuy’s doctor later discovered problematic areas between two heart chambers but lacked the necessary equipment to access them. Desperate for answers, we searched for better options and found UC San Diego Medical Center, where they had the specialized equipment he needed.
On January 17, 2025, Chuy underwent his third cardiac ablation—this time, with success! His heart rate and blood pressure finally returned to normal, and so far, he hasn’t experienced any further complications. We are beyond grateful for his recovery, but now we face a mountain of medical bills from the past year’s hospital stays, procedures, and treatments.
How You Can Help
The financial burden has become overwhelming, and we are asking for any support to help us cover these expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward hospital bills, medical costs, and recovery expenses.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support, prayers, and kind words mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping Chuy on his road to recovery.
With gratitude,
Denisse Solis
