Help Chuuli Escape Abuse

Hi! I'm Chuuli.

I'm currently 22 and living in a small desert town in California, in a toxic home, and dependent on an abusive family.

In the past year, I've been assaulted, repeatedly berated for my queer identity (including when I was assaulted), and made to leave the house several times. I had a medical emergency in February, and since then I have even been repeatedly berated for being on the medication I was prescribed in the hospital. Neither my humanity nor my well-being are cared for in my current environment.

I had been saving money for years, planning to move in with a friend in late 2024 with a job lined up in Anaheim. However, in the middle of last year, I suffered several dramatic life changes, including fracturing of my dominant hand, which caused me to lose both my jobs. My friend was also no longer able to move down to California with me, causing our living plans to fall through, with no clear path on getting out anymore.

I was on unemployment for several months after losing my jobs, but my benefits have since run out, leaving the income I have from my YouTube channel to be my only source of income at the moment, which is not livable in the slightest. I've been struggling to feel like I'll ever escape this place. I'm extremely nervous coming forward with my story (especially since some of my family is aware of my YouTube), but I'm hoping to at least receive some help from this.

Any money donated will be used towards moving out and starting a new life away from my family, whether that's rent, utilities, transportation, etc.
