Meet Chunk Norris

Yes…Chunk Norris.

Small body.

Big presence.

Unbothered.

Slightly chaotic.

Fully convinced he’s the toughest guy in the room and honestly? He might be right.

Chunk quite literally wandered into our lives. He was unchipped, unclaimed and not in the best of shape. He was dehydrated, covered in fleas and ticks and overheated. So, we took him in to get him together and to set about finding his people.

Chunk wasted no time making himself at home. This little 26 pound gremlin has the personality of a grown man who pays bills. He's equal parts stubborn, sweet, dramatic and absolutely convinced he runs the household.

Chunk Norris is the kind of dog who will stare you dead in your soul while spilling water all over the floor like it’s performance art. He’s stubborn, hilarious, weirdly dignified, and somehow still manages to be the sweetest little shadow once he decides you’re safe.

When no one came forward to claim him, we did what you do when a dog chooses you, we stepped up.

Vet visit ✔️

Vaccines (DAPP, rabies, bordetella) ✔️

Flea & tick prevention ✔️

Heartworm test ✔️

…and that’s where things took a turn.

Chunk Norris tested positive for heartworms.

And here’s the part that gets me…

Because if you met him, you wouldn’t know.

He’s still playful. Still curious. Still giving “I survived worse than this” energy. Like life already tried him and he’s still standing.

But heartworm treatment is no joke. It’s long. It’s strict. It takes time, it takes care and yes, it gets expensive.

It’s the difference between him just existing and him actually getting to live the full, healthy life he deserves.

Chunk didn’t come from a perfect situation. We don’t know his whole story.

But we know enough.

We know he was out there, on his own. We know nobody came looking. And we know he still showed up loving anyway.

So now?

We’re all in.

We’re getting him treated. We’re getting him healthy. We’re giving him the life he should’ve had from the beginning, one where he’s safe, cared for, and where his only concern is getting fed on time (his main thought, let's be honest).

A lot of people encouraged us to create this GoFundMe, and while asking for help isn’t exactly my thing, showing up for Chunk is.
