Help Chrystal Dawn with legal fees

Chrystal has been sentenced to 11yrs in prison for a self-defense crime she committed in 2007. She has already served 13mo in prison for this & paid over $3,000 in restitution. The county of Washington wants another $17,000 - another piece of info is that the public defender who failed to adequately defend her as a victim of domestic abuse is now the prosecutor demanding she serve the 11yrs. With the label of "felon" its difficult to move on to make a good life, but Chrystal has done an amazing job! She is an activist for equal rights & justice, always available to help anyone in need & an attentive & caring mom to her 3 children. She had just signed up to start classes to be a drug/alcohol counselor to further her ability to help others when this happened. It is obvious that Washington co has no interest in rehabilitation for those with difficult or disadvantaged pasts, only fines & punishment. I am posting this now after careful consideration & at the urging of many friends & family. I feel that raising $17,000 in times like these is insurmountable, but I have to try everything I can think of to save my family from the cruel & unjust system that we live in today. I have been unemployed due to health issues since February, with Chrystal the only one of us working - now Im left to forego my attempts to get assistance with my medical bills to support my step-daughter now that her mom has been taken away from us by the apathetic & corrupt court of Washington co. Also, I fear with the current state of a pandemic that this could be a death sentence for a wife & mother who has paid her debt to society & has worked so hard to move on from a past that she wishes more than anything that she could change. She committed her crime 13yrs ago, how long does someone have to be punished for defending herself from a domestic abuser & drug addict who has gone on to abuse every woman he has been with since. Every little bit helps & thank you for any help that you can give our family.
