Help Christy Recover from Historic Flood
Donation protected
Our friend and colleague, Christy Murphy, woke up to 7 inches of rain on Sunday morning in her lovingly restored adobe home. Historic flash flooding had swept through Roswell, New Mexico, overnight. Luckily, Christy and her dogs are okay but her house is a mess.
Residents of Roswell do not carry flood insurance because it hasn't been an issue in the past 120+ years. The last occurrence of flooding even close to this was in 1901; no one expected flash flooding on this level.
We'd like to help make life a little easier for Christy over the next few weeks as she mucks out and repairs her house (at her own expense). If you're able, please help show Christy we care by sending her some financial support. Any amount counts and you can donate anonymously. THANK YOU!
