On August 14th, 2025, our mother, Christy Swimmer McLemore, suffered a stroke. She's finally home, resting, and recovering. She's been this family's sole foundation in trying to keep our family not only together but also providing for her grandchildren and being an advocate for the Native community, MMIW, and others who have needed assistance. She speaks for those who are voiceless, fights for justice for others, and seeks to educate and assist others so they may never go through what she has. She's been our rock, and I'm sure there are others who can say she's been their support as well.

Right now, our family needs help in covering medical and household costs and expenses in assisting our mother to ensure she gets to recover fully, rest, get therapy, and relieve some stress so she can take care of herself. She's been deserving that for so long. She is a woman who is always taking care of others first and now needs to put herself first and lean on others for once. Please help if you find it in your heart. Please show her grace, and your prayers are always welcome and much needed. We need her so much, and I know that she's always worried about how she leaves an impact on others' lives, if she would be remembered, and how she's remembered. This family is not ready for that thinking just yet; we want to be able to make more memories with her.
