Update 1-21-25
Christy is now having to have 2 different types of chemo.
Last Thursday (1-16-25) she had round 6 of the chemo she originally started on and round 2 of chemo for bone cancer.
She saw a new oncologist at UT Southwestern on January 7th. She is wanting her to complete 8 rounds of chemo and then start Immunotherapy.
The treatments make her body hurt and the last treatment has caused a rash. She is extremely tired all the time and has been in bed for the last 3 days.
She hasn’t been able to work and it’s the beginning of the year so her deductible has not been met and has a lot out of pocket expenses. She has medical expenses as well as everyday living expenses.
Please continue to lift her up in prayer.
We love you so much Christy

------------------------
On June 4, 2024, Christy received the heartbreaking news that she has been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer. After a recent PET scan and an appointment with Dr. Challagalla, we learned that Christy is facing stage 4 breast cancer, with spots on her liver, lungs, and colon. This news has been devastating for Christy and all of us who care deeply for her.
Tomorrow, August 21, 2024, Christy will undergo a procedure to have a port placed, and she will soon begin chemotherapy. Additionally, she will need to have a colonoscopy in the near future.
Christy is understandably scared and deeply worried about her two young daughters, Mally and Malia, as well as her son Brysen. Her love for her children is her greatest strength, and it’s heart-wrenching to see her face this challenge.
The financial burden of medical expenses is overwhelming, and any contribution to help cover these costs would be a tremendous relief. Your support will not only help alleviate some of the stress Christy is facing but also allow her to focus on her treatment and spending precious time with her family.
We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of prayers, support, and any donations you can offer during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to Christy and her family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
