My name is Hailey. I am Christy’s daughter. As many friends and family know, she is going through some life-changing medical problems right now. In late January, she was hospitalized and had emergency surgery. During the surgery, cancer was detected by the surgeon. Weeks later, we found out her official diagnosis was stage 3 ovarian cancer. Mom’s oncologist is very hopeful that with chemo treatments, there is a good chance of remission. This news was shocking because my mom has been so vigilant about her health but also not completely unexpected because of the strong family history of cancer. With all of this being said, medical bills are already coming in, and it is just the beginning of this long process. Insurance is helpful but, as you can imagine, does not cover everything. Moving forward, she will continue to work as much as her health allows her to. I am creating this GoFundMe to hopefully alleviate some of the stress of medical bills so she can focus on her health.
