My dear nephew’s funeral was yesterday. A beautiful service by his Scouting troop.  And with country music, his favorite.  It was very obvious how much Chris was loved and he will be missed.

Chris will be buried tomorrow in the Ruby Cemetary at 11am.  It is going to be a tough day.  After that, life is supposed to “go back to normal”.  But will it ever be “normal” again?  Jaime and the kids will have to learn what their new normal will be.  His parents too. A huge hole has been left in our family.  But Jaime and the kids will have to learn to cope with out Chris.  Your generosity shown here is a bit overwhelming.  I am so thankful for the Gofundme platform, allowing each of you a way to help.  It restores my faith in human nature.  Please do not stop sharing.

Today Christopher lost his battle with Covid.  Now more than ever Jaime and the kids need your support.  Not only was Chris the major “breadwinner”,he was “daddy”.   Jaime will have co pays and deductibles for his hospitalization, and on top of that, now funeral expenses.  Jaime still has to pay normal household bills, feed her and the kids, clothe them Etc.  and this will be very difficult.  She has to take time to grieve and then find a full time job to support her family.   Please take a moment to read a bit about my nephew.  What a caring dad he was, about his wife and their 2 little kids.  Help ease financial worries by sharing his story with everyone you know who may find it in their hearts to even donate a buck or two.  God bless you all.  Keep the prayers and shares going.

My name is Kathy Ambler and I have set up this Gofundme account to help my nephew’s family with expenses during this terrible time. Christopher Collick is 38 and contracted Covid. In just the matter of one week, he has been hospitalized and started to decline quickly. He is presently on life support and now also kidney dialysis.

Christopher is married to Jaime and together they have 2 young children. Alex is 12 and Ellie May is 5. Christopher has always been a hard working dad, providing his family with a home, food and all of their needs. Chris is an Eagle Scout and he and Alex enjoy all Boy Scout activities together. Their family loves to camp and explore nature. Jaime and Ellie May enjoy the theater, being in productions with the Port Sanilac Barn Theater company and the Port Huron Community Theater.

While Chris is hospitalized, money is and will be an issue. Medical bills are already accumulating.  This young family is going to need help to pay normal bills, and then medical bills on top of that!

Please, if you can spare some money to help out my nephew and his family, I would truly appreciate it and so would they. And keep them in your prayers.
I have set the goal to $15,000.00 but you all know how much a day it costs to be in ICU and how high co pays can be, and deductibles.  And now funeral expenses on top of everything else.  Many people have been affected by Covid, it is a horrific virus.
