Help Christopher Through His Bone Marrow Treatment

As many of you know, Christopher has been battling a health crisis for the last few years and now it is coming to a head so to speak with his treatment needs, care plan and time being spent inpatient at the hospital.

Christopher was diagnosed with a rare auto immune/bone marrow disease; systemic mastocytosis. Due to this disease, Christopher has also been diagnosed with Avascular necrosis in both hips & shoulders and has had surgery to replace these joints and has another one in the near future. While in treatment for his SM, an 11 month hospitalization would follow due to him contracting a very serious blood infection; mycrobacterium abcessus complex. Christopher has also begun experiencing chronic angiodema, had to get a tracheotomy due to this and a temporary feeding tube with continued protracted anaphylaxis flaring up.

Next on his list of treatments is to have another surgery for the AVN (replacing his left hip) and then he will begin the process of a bone marrow transplant. He has already had multiple surgeries to repair other joints impacted by AVN.

Due to the medical needs Christopher has he is physically unable to work and is currently as we share this in the ICU. Christopher has begun receiving some benefits to help with the medical costs and disability but he still needs help as it doesn’t cover everything like normal every day costs, bills, etc. Many have already helped him to this point and for that he and I along with other friends are very grateful. We know many of you love Christopher and we wanted to give you the opportunity to show that love to him in a tangible way as he is hospitalized now preparing for more surgeries and ultimately a transplant we pray will bring healing to his body so that he can have a life and that life would be one that is abundantly given and lived.
