About a year ago, I received the life-changing news that I had cancer in my right leg. After eight surgeries, my right leg was amputated above the knee. Since then, I’ve been unable to work, and the mental and financial challenges have been overwhelming. I’m now facing mounting medical bills, ongoing hospital visits, medication costs, and the need for physical therapy. On top of that, I’m struggling to keep up with my mortgage and basic bills—my phone was even cut off, and I can only communicate when I have internet access.
This support would mean everything to me. It would help me stay in my home, manage the stress of my situation, and cover the costs of upcoming surgeries and therapy. I live with my grandpa and have a son who means the world to me. My hope is to one day get a prosthetic so I can walk again, but right now, I rely on a wheelchair and those devices are very expensive.
I spent years serving my community as a police officer and later as a mail carrier. I’ve always tried to pay my bills and stay positive, even when things get tough. What helps me most is getting outside and sitting in the sun—it’s a small comfort that keeps me going. Any help you can give would make a real difference in my life and help me move forward during this difficult time.
