This GoFundMe is being created to help
raise the funds Christopher needs to
cover the costs of his medication for the next 4 months. He's at the end of a 2 year
journey to correct a kidney disorder, but he needs our help!

Christopher is one of those people who
selflessly serves wherever there is a need. Even in his weakened state the past couple of years he has never hesitated to serve,
and has done it cheerfully and continually
praising God.

Because of the side effects of this illness he has not been able to work, and thus has
tapped out his savings during this extended illness.

This journey began in 2017 when he was
hospitalized for a fever and high blood
pressure. After almost a week in ICU and
then several weeks in the cardiac care
unit the doctors finally diagnosed him with MCD (a Nephrotic Syndrome of the
kidneys). In layman's terms...his kidneys
produce WAY too much protein (over
3,500 units/day vs the average 200-300
units/day).  At the start of his journey his
numbers stood at 15,600! The standard
course of treatment to bring these
numbers down is through steroids. Lots
and lots of steroids. He has had quite
a bit of success with this, however his body seems to stop responding each time
he gets close to the end of treatment.

The doctors have determined that he can't have any more steroids at this time and
have switched him to a new medicine
(Cyclophosphamide) to finish this course
of treatment. This new medicine was
quoted at over $2,000/month! After calls
to 15 different pharmacies he was able to
obtain it for $620/month through Good Rx.
We are asking for $1,000/month to cover
this new medicine and also the additional
9 other medications he takes monthly to
either treat the disease or combat the side
effects of the steroids.

Christopher is so close to the end of his
treatment. I know he is weary and
discouraged at times, but he still goes out
of his way to continue to help others and
spread love, joy and the good news of
Jesus, all without complaint and self-pity. 

Let's help him get this disease into
remission...once and for all.
