On August 16, 2023 Christopher under went his 4th surgery of the brain fossa craniotomy of cerebellum to remove out of the 3 brain tumors. Tumors were sent out for routine pathology. On September 14, 2023 pathology report confirmed Christopher has metastatic pituitary carcinoma, a rare brain cancer that there is only been approximately 402 cases reported.
Back history:
September 2002 Christopher was diagnosed at age 6 with pituitary brain tumor. Under went a front right craniotomy from midline forehead-bottom ear lobe. Had a stroke. Ended up paralyzed for a few months to learn to walk, talk, eat again. He was left with whole left sided cerebral palsy, sever epilepsy, Dysfunctional adrenal, no natural hormones/testosterone.
May 2006 recurrent pituitary brain tumor, age 11; Transsphenoidal hypophysectomy. His siezure become more frequent.
May 2007 recurrent pituitary brain tumor, age 12; Gamma Knife. Mor siezures. Implant for siezures, vegus nerve stimulator ×2 since 2015. Broken left hip, after 2 surgeries to repair, ended up with total left hip replacement due to weak bones.
2021 severe case of shingles which left him hospitalized for 10 days. Due to dysfunctional adrenal and other issues. Suffered a brain bleed. Uncontrollable seizures. Now metastatic pituitary carcinoma. Pituitary carcinoma is so rare only 402 cases world wide.
The family is enduring more travel expenses out of town along with in town, to and from doctors, testing, including hospital stays for uncontrollable seizures/testing and copays. We are asking for donations to help thrm with gas, food, over night accommodations amd copay expenses.
We may never know why God has this families plate so full. But know every battle is a victory. This fight will be victorious with all your prayers, well wishes and monetary support to help this family get through these hard times that lie ahead. Thank you!
