With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Christopher Harrington, a beloved father, fiancé, and son. He was also a cherished coworker and friend. Tragically, he left this world on Saturday morning, leaving behind many unfinished tasks, just before football season began.
I’m writing his funeral arrangements on fantasy football mumble jumble. It’s hard to comprehend, just like everything that’s going on. When a loved one passes away, they don’t have a manual on what to do next, who to call or what to do. I wipe my sister’s tears as I can’t bring him back for her.
I take a moment to remember the day I met him. He shook my hand, stammered a bit, and said, “I understand you have your doubts, but I’ll show you I’m genuine. Since the day I met her, I’ve wanted nothing but a chance.” And he did. I watched them heal together, grow together, and become a family. It breaks my heart because I knew this was everything he ever wanted in life.
Colton is his everything. He’s just 1 and 1/2 years old. Now, he’s left with one parent to financially provide for him, and in this crazy world we live in, that’s not easy. He was the breadwinner of the family.
I can’t answer the whys or hows. All I can do is ask on behalf of my sister and nephew. We’re making funeral arrangements for him, and it’s going to be costly.
This Go fund me is to help with funeral costs, household bills and a college fund for Colton, during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated!
