At the end of last year, I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure. This diagnosis changed everything for me. I had to go on medical leave from work, and in December, I started dialysis. The treatments take up a lot of time and energy, making it impossible for me to work full time. I applied for SSDI, but unfortunately, it won't be enough to cover my living expenses. My medical bills are piling up, and I am facing the possibility of losing my home. I am hoping for a kidney transplant in the future, but until then, I am doing everything I can to stay afloat.
