Help Christopher compete in the Open LPA Surfcity

Aloha. My name is Angie Ringleb, and I am fundraising for my surfing student Christopher Fernandéz Pérez.

Christophers' dream is to compete in the national and international Para Surf circuits. Para surfing is an adapted form of surfing that allows people with physical disabilities to ride ocean waves on a surfboard.

I started training with Christopher in July this year. Since then, he has progressed incredibly and has already participated in a national competition on Fuerteventura. He placed second in his category (PS-S1, standing up with an upper-body impairment), what an achievement!

The next competition, and step in his professional surfing journey, will be the Open LPA Surfcity event, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on the 14th-18th of December 2022.

Christopher has already signed up for the competition but needs help to cover the travel expenses for himself and his mum.

I am fundraising the total amount of €250 to:

1. pay for his travel expenses from Fuerteventura to Gran Canaria (€80 petrol money + 100 ferry tickets for him&his mum)

2. pay for Christophers' mum's accommodation as he can't sleep alone. The event organizers cover Christophers' accommodation, but his mum has to pay for herself

Any additional money raised will go towards a new wetsuit for Christopher!

About myself: I am a professional surf coach at my surf school NOMB Surf in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). I am donating my time and coaching experience as in the past months. I will join Christopher at the Open LPA Surfcity and guide him through the event.

Chris is a beautiful and helpful person, always up for a joke, enjoying life, and very determined to follow a professional surfing career. I am honored to join him on this path and am so super proud of his personal and professional achievements
