Hello everyone,

I’m Luckon, and I’d like to share the story of my brother Christon and his wonderful family—his wife Bianca and their two amazing children, Leeanna, who is 3, and Enzo, who is just 2. Before the world changed, their life was filled with the warmth of everyday moments, from working hard to provide for each other to creating joyful memories together. Their days were marked by the love and care they poured into their family life, navigating the ordinary challenges with grace and resilience.

Then came the pandemic, which shifted their world in ways they could never have anticipated. In 2020, Christon, who has diabetes, contracted COVID-19. This illness set off a cascade of difficulties for them. Bianca, who had been a crucial part of their family’s financial stability, lost her work permit and couldn’t work for an entire year. The financial strain was heavy, but Christon and Bianca faced it with the same dedication they’ve always shown.

Now, Christon is grappling with a new, severe challenge. He is currently in the hospital battling a serious kidney infection (pyelonephritis) and pneumonia. After being transferred between two other hospitals, he’s now in his second week of treatment. Despite everything, his spirit remains steadfast. When faced with his diagnosis, his words were a testament to his unyielding strength: “Let’s see what’s wrong with me now?”

The past few years have been like sailing a small boat through increasingly rough waters for Christon and his family. The emotional and mental toll has been profound, and it feels as if the hole in their boat keeps getting bigger. Christon, coming from a family that takes great pride in self-reliance, finds it incredibly difficult to ask for help. His pride and strength are admirable, but right now, they need support more than ever.
