My name is Christine Chavis. My husband was an Iraq War veteran, a great father to 3 beautiful children (23, 18, and 16 years old) and 2 grandchildren (5 years old and 8 months old), and such a perfect husband. A man I devoted my life to, that i absolutely love with all of my being.. He devoted 8 years of his life to the US Army and 22 years to me as his wife. His passing was sudden and very unexpected which has left us woefully unprepared. While he did receive VA disability, the VA is very slow at making any death benefit payments and any backpay could take months. months we do not have as we have been given a deadline from the funeral home of 7 days without a "body storage" fee.

We have fallen under hard times as this was completely unexpected, and we are looking for help with funeral expenses. Lord knows we need all the help we can get right now. Thank you in advance to anyone who donates and helps us out with this.
