Hi, I’m Christine, a local artist in the Wilkes-Barre area. Since October, I’ve been without heat after my gas furnace broke down. I’ve managed to pay a portion of the repair, but I still need help to finish the job. The freezing temperatures are making my home very uncomfortable, and I’m worried about the risk of plumbing damage if it gets any colder. I live with my two cats, and we’re all struggling to stay warm.

I am pre-qualified for LIHEAP, but because unfortunately, heating equipment crisis repair assistance is currently being delayed. Unfortunately, it’s too cold to wait until help from the program availability to open. This situation has made it difficult to focus on my art and daily life, and I’m reaching out to my community for support.
